In the early decades of 20th century Paris became the main centre for the development of the Art Deco. This new school mixed ideas and concepts taken from different styles, like cubism and futurism. Another inspiration for the Art deco it was Diaghilevs Russian dance. Pierre Chareau (1883- 1950) was one of the most important artists of this movement. He really was a representative of the character of the "modern" designer, with an high interest to the global project.
